Konya Leader Farmers Association was established in 2009 and it aims to deliver information, technology, and innovation to its members and therefore to the farmers of the region.

Our members are the leading farmers in the region they are in.

What does a leader farmer mean? It is a person who seeks information, is open to innovation, is ready to take risks and whose actions are followed in the region.

How does the leading farmer association work?

It follows agricultural information production centers and carries out activities to announce, explain, and demonstrate agricultural innovations, and cooperation with universities, the private sector, and research organizations.

It makes field visits during the periods when agricultural activities are active. In the years when our association was founded, we made visits at certain intervals within the scope of Agricultural Consultancy services. With the private sector entering the field in recent years, we are now in the field if needed. It organizes meetings during the periods when farmers field activities decrease, i.e. in winter. It participates in domestic and international fairs, organizes technical trips, and enables us to see agricultural innovations on-site.

For example, some of the activities in the last few years are as follows.

1. Leader Farmer Meetings; Farmers who have exemplary activities in our country and in our association explained the innovations they have made to 200 different participants.

2. Leader Farmer Meeting; We introduced the solutions of Topraq company that help to follow climate change.

3. Afyon Farmer Families Integration and Information Meeting; Selçuk University academicians and SNF company provided information.

4. Our members children received 10 days of training at the Netherlands "dairy training center".

5. We organized a program for the Germany Agritechnica and EuroTier fairs. This year, approximately 20 of our members requested Agritechnica again.

6. We organized the Cow Signal company dairy farming training in Karapınar district with the contributions of the Dutch Embassy.

7. With the organization contributions of the US Embassy, ​​10 people visited North Dakota and Colorado.

All of these activities and association expenses are covered by our members membership dues and the sharing of the activities by the participants. A member who wants to visit a fair abroad participates in the trip by paying his/her share of the cost. In recent years, we have seen our members sponsoring such activities in this system, which makes us happy. There is no other farmer organization in our country that works in this way. Our request from our guests is to provide the necessary support to ensure that this model becomes widespread.

Today, we have come together here to share more information. We aim to listen to the authorities about the agricultural activities that we know superficially and that are carried out in different countries in the world. To come together and learn from each other. I would like to thank the Japanese Agricultural Attaché, the German Agricultural Attaché, the American Undersecretary of Agriculture, and our Leader Farmer Friend Kent James Kalcevic from Colorado for attending our invitation. Our agricultural attachés will give us general information about the activities carried out in their countries.
